Hi all. I've recently bought a Tomtom Go 920 T with speed cameras on it. I'm having problems being alerted to cameras as I'm driving. All I get is a tiny icon flashing in the corner of the screen, no audible signal or big flashing sign on the screen as I would expect. Is this just how they are or am I missing something?

It's barely obvious that a camera is near-by unless you are looking at the screen all the time.

Thanks for your help.

There should be an audible warning. There was a software release which lost this warning through a Tomtom development error (on my TT 920T I reverted to the previous release, with good assistance through TT support staff). I think this has been corrected by Tomtom on the latest release. I suggest that through the Tomtom website you first see if you can verify whether your device has the latest release, and if so and you are still not getting the warnings send a question to TT support through the website.

PS Check the warnings settings, and make sure anything relevant is turned on before doing any of the above.

Yep exactly what he said, but be warned, if you update your firmware, as I did the other night, from v7.481 to the new v8.xxx it removes the warning. So you have to go into 'preferences' again, and re configure it. As I found out the next day, when passing a speed camera, and the TomTom hadn't warned me.
