Can anyone recommend a company for disposing of old computer equipment (knackered) and remaining WEEE compliant?

Please drop me a PM - the company I work for can do this for you.

Sorry I didn't see your original posting

There is a national chain of electrical wholesalers called City Electrical Factors who have a division to deal with WEEE.
There is a CEF in most towns, and large cities usually have several branches.

Yep CEF will do it, although if you leave most things outside whilst "waiting for collection the local pikeys will have it off you for scrap in no time smile

Thanks for the replies, by chance i discovered my local CEF as i passed it on an industrial estate whilst going to one of our suppliers, so they have sent me a quote.

I will check out that other website too.

I would prefer to get rid of the equipment properly, although in the past we have had items been taken by pikeys! - One time, we were dismantaling an old machine and putting it outside with a view to getting it collected by a scrap metal merchant. Within 10 mins, a pikey turned up and took most of it away!

Cheers,

Tim.
