Hi All

I have an Ipod and want to use it in the CLS, I'm no good with technical stuff its all witch craft. I have the lead that plugs it in the glove box, but can I get it to work with the buttons on the steering wheel?

Cheers

Yes you can, I think it costs about ~£400 at a mercedes dealership.

Yeah you need a proper integration kit which as has been said costs about £400. You are much better just builing a playlist on your ipod and listening to that when in the car.

It is handy having Ipod Integration as it charges the ipod and allow tracks to be changed on the steering wheel. But the volume isn't as loud as using a standard connector.

May be worth looking at this site they do all of the Mercedes bits and pieces but you need to get them fitted.
A decent local Audio Shop should be more than capable of the job though.

The full intergration kit is well worth the money IMO, rather than just the jack lead.

Good luck

Thanks for that, I'd seen something similar advertised before, but thought it was just for W204s.

Just checked with them, it fits, so I need to find where the dealer hid the interface box. Hopefully it's not behind the head unit, that seems quite an involved job to remove.

Then once fitted turn off the volume boosting I put on all my Ipod music.
