Colin (Taff_o on PH) has just had his 350i exhaust and manifolds
done at Exhaust UK in Sheffield and it now sounds fantastic

I had a full Stainless Steel exhaust system fitted in Sept last year
and posted at that time as I was really pleased with the professionalism,
service and very importantly the price from these guys.

My exhaust already sounded good but it wasn't quite loud enough (for a Wedge!!!)
So I went back recently and they took out 1 of the 2 silencers. (It took 2.5 hrs and cost £60)
It now sounds mega and constantly attracts good comments from people.

Basically I would recommend these guys very highly for any Wedge exhaust system and manifolds
They are all individually made to order and come with a 25 year guarantee.

Cheers
Richard

I recommended Exhausts Uk to Trickie as the reports I had from a friend in Selby were glowing.

He had custom sports pipes and sports-cat put onto an E38 740i and it sounded wonderfull.

When I went to Sheffield with Trick to get the cherry removed and replaced with a straight through pipe, I was hoping it would be savage, but was simply STUNNED at the noise it now makes! yes

Have highly recommended them to a number of people from Ferrari owners to chaps with Corvettes thumbup

Hi Adam

Not sure how much the manifolds are - you would need to ring to get a quote

My exhaust system last year for the 400 was £400 inc Vat
Most other places were quoting £650 -£700 for the same

Dickie, was that including manifolds or from the manifollds back (I suspect the latter)?

£400 is extremely good - I thing I spent £350 at PD Gough many years ago (and still have that exhaust on another wedge).

No manifolds on dickies, but I dont think the addition of manifolds increases the cost by too much to be fair!

Whatever my next "Good" car is, it will be going to Exhausts Uk for some fettling

My system was for just the exhaust
Manifolds are at least the same amount again from memory

My exhaust took most of the day to fabricate
and I'm sure the manifolds would be at least as long.

They did a great job, manifolds back, over all cost was a bit steep £1550, but that was stripping off the old system (all them rusty bolts, only one snapped!) but it was custom made, relocating the silencer so a little more ground clearence, all in nice shiney stainless steel, it took them nearly 4 days.
I think I could of got the manifolds for about £200 cheaper, but ACT couldn't get any until the end of July and I would have still had to pay to get them fitted so would have ended up paying more.
Overall very happy, just a bit skint!!! (Hope the wife doesn't look at this site, told her it was just under a 1000!!!)

Sounds familiar. I've just had mine off / on. Took me about 10 hours in all to get them off, weld them up, paint them and refit them. Sounds nice now though.

I must invest in some stainless ones, but hopefully not for a couple of years.

How much were the actual manifolds?

The price got all jumbled up, he took vat off and stuff, but I think they should have been about £800.
