Got to spend some money on a new car and been looking up and down and trying to make my mnd up what to go for - been looking at many different options (inc Passat W8), but latest idea is to find a nice Audi S6 and get it LPG'd to bring fuel costs down to an acceptable level while getting a big stinking V8 to play with.
Anyone had any experience of converting that particular V8?

had an LPG'ed A6 4.2 1999.. th esystem was very good, and loos similar to the one in the link - only had two very slight issues with it.
The range was awful. about 170 miles to a tank os gas ( the spare wheel mounted cylinder) and if you go somewhere very cold ( sub -15) if doesnt work and you have to use petrol..... so watch those ski trips....

How much was it costing you for those 170 miles, if you don't mind me asking? It wouldn't be going on any ski trips, it'd be purely for sticking a finger up to the government. The range was awful. about 170 miles to a tank os gas ( the spare wheel mounted cylinder) and if you go somewhere very cold ( sub -15) if doesnt work and you have to use petrol..... so watch those ski trips....
