wiper motor for my 94 chim
Discussion
As mentioned above, replacing the wiper park switch is really very straightforward, and you will find everything you need to know here:

It seems to me that the switch (less than £10) is almost considered a consumable. What i have now done is to wrap the leads going into the switch in self amalgamating waterproof tape, to hopefully get a bit more life out of the thing.
The last time, i also replaced the bushes to the motor, and the little bearing that sits on top of the rotor and flies off if you don't know it is there
PM me if you need more help

Not mentioned on the Chimaera write up is that you should set the wipers in the upright position by turning the ignition off whilst in mid wipe, so that the cam that operates the park switch is out of alignment (you can break a new switch by forcing it into place)...I am the stockholder of all the parts for these motors, and build them for "TVR world" (9.99 inc VAT and P&P for the switch). BUT the park switch failing has no relationship with a noise like a starter!

thanks for the advice, although due to the noise it makes on the return swipe i don't think it's the park switch as it sounds mechanical. is it a case i may have to strip the motor or might it be easier to find a motor on ebay or breakers or recon .....however i do't really want to spend loads of money.
