VXR8 Carbon Edition

I see one of these or THE one is for sale at picadors at the moment for £35k...

made me wonder a few things;
a. was there just the one ?
b. if not, can you still buy them and if so how much new?

and last but not least if that was a one off, how much would it cost to add on the bits to a standard vxr8 to make it the same sort of spec ? i know it's supercharged and i'm guessing lowered and different exhaust etc but what else was different to the standard vxr8 ?

reason I ask is I was just looking at the piccies from pistonheads of the vxr8 and rather like it

There are a few of them about, but I don't have any numbers. Some people will be selling to make way for the new LS3-engined VXR8.

This car was the first.
To buy new £48500 with all the goodys fitted.
There is more than one. But that car is the only one with the chrome front brace.

Yes. Sort of. It's what Merc would call a 6.3 i.e. a 6.2 litre.

But the big power is for the ZR1 with the LS9 engine - a supercharged LS3 with about 640bhp.

Well the LS9 has much beefier stuff like forged bits and so on
Plus 9 bolt flywheel instead of 6 for the dual friction clutch for example..
