TomTom 700 lost favourites

My TT is playing up.
I loaded the latest firmware (7.162) the other week and now the voice commands overlap each other i.e. a command starts before the other has finished.
I was hoping another version would come out straight away fixing it but not so.
Today I have another problem. My favourites, home and recent destinations have all disappeared and the command greyed out as the file is empty. I have tried doing a restore but nothing has changed.
Is there somewhere I can look in the backups to see if an earlier backup has them in so I can just copy them across?
