Morning all

I am considering switching banks and have been introduced to Adam and Co, owned by RBS. Does anyone have any experience with them or indeed able to recommend another private bank or just a good bank.

Thanks

Phil

Depends on so much. What do you want from the bank, and what's your personal situation?

ETA: You need to answer those to get a decent response, I am not meaning to pry at all. smile

Stunning.

Give me a PM and I will email you a name.

The previous poster is correct about your personal situation etc and amount of cash (not asking!!)

Surprised Barclays are well thought of for private banking, given that for everything else they are utter ste.

A fairer description would be that banks operate a higher level of service for wealthy individuals, because they make lots more money off them.

Looking for a bank that can provide a good level of service, without having to call india for everything. It's needs to be able to assist with lending facilities both short and long term. Investment management and financial planning advice. Basically a complete financial package with good service.

With Barclays Premier at the moment, the only good thing about this was my "relationship manager" who it seems like the most of his colleagues has had enough and is off to pastures new. Everytime I want to do something, it's go to the website, call this number. No one can help with anything on their own...

Adam & Company get my thumbs up time and time again. Been with them for quite some considerable time, and always happy with them.

A couple of times I have had to throw a book at them, but give them credit, they sort it out, and tend to make it financial beneficial in smoothing things over.

I can highly recommend Coutts - also part of RBS. Outstanding service.
