Well front lights. Was out late last night and really struggled in the woods. So with a budget of around £300 could you good people please recommend me a decent set of front lights?

Thanks

Possibly the wrong time to Buy. HIDs are probably what you want (at that budget), but Super LEDs tech is advancing very quickly and is likely to pass HID very soon in terms of power usage and more lumens. Hope have recently released a SLED light, but I have no experience of - some good initial reviews though.

For what it's worth, I have a light and motion set-up (from CRC) and they are far better than the other brands I've come across that my mates use. They use a custom made reflector which makes a big difference in lighting up the track.

i have a set of hope LEDs which i picked up for about £200 which guide me along a pitch black canal path for about 30 mins each night during the winter. Given the canal/water they have to be good and they do do a great job - i am impressed by the construction

Noticed at the evans clearance that they had some serious lighting systems in your price range discounted by about £100....... or at least they did at lunchtime today...

That's what i've got, they're very good. The only downside is that they have quite a narrow beam compared to alot of other kit, but it's extremely bright and has decent battery life in a small package. Well recommended.

Interestingly, the new Hope Vision 4-LED is only slightly more expensive than the Hope Vision HID but puts out twice the light and is more controllable for longer burn times.

I have the HID one and its fantastic (and quite tough; it's put up with a lot of crashing and manhandling without anything breaking yet), so if I were in the market for a new one at the moment I'd seriously consider the 4-LED one.

Lumicycle are pretty good. Very robust, excellent run times and you can change bulbs to suit requirements, bulbs around £3.00. www.lumicycle.com suggest these http://www.lumicycle.com/Product/product2.aspx?pro...
