Some of you have fitted a smaller front plate, if you have one then what size is it ? Have been looking at ordering one to let a bit more air in but have no idea what size to go for, seem to remember two thirds original being mentioned in the past.

I'm not going outside now, far too comfy biggrin

I'll measure it very accurately in the morning.

three quarter size from fancy plates..... looked bloody small when it arrived compared to the normal sized rear that came with it..... can see how it helps reduce temps as it free's up a lot of extra space for air flow through the rad

Fancyplates 3/4 size for me.

On the run back from Le Mans I shoved the full size version on at Bolougne just so I didn't fall foul of the Big Brother scameras at UK customs and noticed it made the temp climb almost 10deg on what I'd been seeing over the weekend.

Probably the answer to that is not so small that it attracts attention rather than one that meets the regs.

One thing I am worried about if the plate is too small is increased front end lift at speed. The standard arrangement must to some extent divert air round the sides and over the bonnet. Also if the nose is more open does it then present a less slippery shape to the air and increase the drag.

I've run with no plate and my current legal one. No plate definitely increases power biggrin and a smaller one seems to help as the full size one sits right in the way of the inlet nono

As an aside, no plate drops temp by ten degrees, my current one by 5 degrees.
