Had my car on the rollers today a first time for me so a bit nervous.
Std 4 Litre as far as i know,

212.8 BHP (fly)
Max Torque 240 ib/ft @4000rpm

167.3 BHP (Wheels)
Max Torque 185 ib/ft @4000rpm

Crazyhorses guys said this was slightly better than the average over the weekend for that engine.
One thing they did say that the limiter came in earlier than all the rest and looking at the graph seems to be at 5700 rpm.
I would like to know what you all think but i searched and found this to be about right.
Decided to video it and you can here the limiter kick in twice.

Car was'nt as clean when i got home as it rained just a tadlaugh

Mine kicks in at 6250, I know that it varies car to car but don't know why - guess it's down to the ECU.

By the way, watched the video, like the trick wheels where the centres go in the opposite direction to the rims.................:biggrin

Just as a comparison my 400 was 218.2 @ 5400 at the flywheel and 172.5 at the wheels.
Torque was 250 @ 4000 at the flywheel.
I actually watched yours on the rollers and the rev limiter did seem to cut in early.
I guess it must be some setting in the ECU.

I managed to get 271.3 at the flywheel and 217.8 at the wheels from a 450 which im quite please with. Thats with an ACT induction kit, carbon fibre trumpets, magnecor leads and a new coil (all from ACT. Thanks Tim) and I made an insulating plate from tufnol whick keeps everything nice and cool. Cam and ECU untouched.

I should think you are pleased, some 5L boys would be happy with that.
Just as a matter of interest, did anbody collate the results?

Well I 'scored' 241.8 BHp with a totally standard 4.3, (192.5 at the wheels)so not bad for a 14 year old car with 65,000 miles ! Engine was running a tiny bit rich but power curve was dead straight to 4000 and flat to 5600 before tailing off.
Torque was a healthy 270 FtLb so quite pleased.

Would be nice to see what mods produce different figures- ie, cams, chips, induction etc..

Torque gives you the power i guess so your up on me by 100 what that equates to speed i have no idea.
Well worth it to get a guage of what other cars are doing.

Didn't get to the roar but thought I'd put up my results from a dyno tune 3 weeks back, got 302BHP / 320 ftLB at Fly and 241BHP at the wheels from a modded 4.5 Chimera. Was done on JKM Performance Dyno Dynamics same model as crazyhorses.

Yes it was good to have it on the rolling road, mine has never been on before.
I'm happy with my result from a stock 400. Not sure how that compares to what is expected from a 4 litre though! smile

My std 400 with 47K miles made

219.6 BHP at the Fly
173.9 BHP at the wheels

I was very surprised didn't think it would make that amount.

Mine clocked 228 at the fly around 180 at the wheels (not got the exact numbers in front of me) for a std 4.5 but it is running rich at the moment. I thought it had felt down on power recently so looks like a trip to the garage is in order.

Had 250 fly 200 at the wheels from my 450.

Quite happy about that, but think I may have to make a few changes for next year smile

Thanks to those at Crazy Horses, worked so hard all weekend!
