Who's the fastest

Myst its easy to to take the limiter off if u want to... I had to declined when I was offered it, got the kids to think about.
Removing the limiter doesn't make the car go faster though, you still have control over when to use the speed...Another thing I notice on this forum is the automatic referal to drag strip stats when talking about performance; have any of you taken your cars to a proper track? (ie one with corners)
I took my race car to the drags once just to see what the fuss was about. Felt like I was doing a practice start, then stopping before the first corner (which is where the real fun is to be had) also with only 1 other car instead of 30 others. Can't say I found it particularly thrilling.

I don't think it's me, I'm sure I've seen at least one 12.9 posted, but are we talking top end or 1/4 mile? Mine is still limited to 155

I'm not qualified to say but i think the 1/4 mile is the best test of sheer power. Once you start adding corners theres much more to consider. The main thing being i guess is the driver. I've never driven on a race track although i want to one day, but i enjoyed doing the 1/4 at Santa Pod so much. I dont think i could ever get bored with it.
The guy that used to own my ute in austrailia did 12.4 on the drag with the NOS on, iv got the paperwork in with all the documentation somewhere. Not sure which dragstrip of the top of my head but he got all the engine work done in Power Torque ( Queensland ) and they run a 9 sec ute. Ive never done it myself as Nos isnt the easiest to get over here but my last trip to london i filled the bottle in Real Steal and gave it a rip up the m23 and she was really flying even though we hadnt got the bottle up to the correct temp. Mind you i cant see how it would be even close to that time on a public road with lack of traction, even with the bottle off its spins up big time with the auto box.. As for top end mine is in kmh and it just goes off the clock but with a 4spd auto i cant see it getting the top end that the 6spd manuals can do.. maybe 150mph ish

As my car is being picked up today by the fish people for sport and handling pacs I have no doubt that I will easily take this crown with sub 10 quarters and max speed in excess of 200mph.
OK maybe a tad optamistic! Can't bloody wait though. Like a kid waiting for Mickey at Disney...

Is there anyone on here that has nos on either their Monaro or VXR8. Is it even possible to do?
Yes, Paul--C. Has Turbo and NOS.Genuinely interested as if the latter it seems a fairly good mod for the 1/4!
