Mk4 Golf Ipod kits - what one is best?
Discussion
Hi all,
Ive done a search but no one seems to have asked this question here.
I am looking for an ipod link to connect my ipod to my VW Gamma headunit; please note that my car also has the VW in-dash 6-cd changer. Ive read on a few product descriptions that the common mk4 golf ipod links can be connected to the Gamma unit but you will no longer be able to use the autochanger with this - is this correct? And is there any way of getting round this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Agar

I'm using a Dension Gateway 300 with the CD retention kit in my Audi.
I've connected a hard drive to the kit rather then an Ipod

Hi Jack,I've connected a hard drive to the kit rather then an Ipod

Was looking at these today, the Gateway 100 in particular, i can't seem to figure out what the 300 offers above the usual 100 spec? Can your standard HU be used to naviagate through the ipod and display song titles? Im wondering how control is given between the CD changer and the ipod?
Thanks

I have the Gateway 100 with CD Retention Kit in the R32...have the GW100 ready to go into my A3 as well
Does your R32 still have a CD changer, if so how do you make use of them both? Whats the GW100, and is it any better than the Gateway 100?Thanks
It allows you to use another Dension lead "CD Retention Kit"
TBH - I hardly used the CD once ipodded...
