A friend of mine has just had a new Mini Cooper, and had the bluetooth pack fitted. Is there any way to make the display under the speedo display the name of the person when a call comes in (like in both the Audi and BMW I have) rather than just the phone number?

If the phone is fitted in the cradle then it will display the names etc, if its just loose in the car then it will only display the number

I assume we're talking R56 here? Ok this may be down to a couple of reasons; Firstly bluetooth will transfer numbers and data ie names from the SIM in the phone, if there are numbers only stored on the SIM then this could be one cause. Secondly is the phone and software level of the phone compatable with that car? This can be checked on the Mini website. This second one is the most likely cause, just because a phone works with the bluetooth connection, doesn't mean that it's compatable!

Drop me an email if you need any more help.
