Our team have been based on Houx Annexe for the past three years but i believe this will no longer be an option for next year.

We have always really enjoyed it there, mainly due to the relaxed atmosphere and not having people come over and shout/whine when we have had our music on after 2am. Also liked the fact that we could get a decent plot with the six cars that we take.

Any idea which would be the best site for us (15sh of us, mostly aged 22-30) for 09? a few people have mentioned Karting Nord and MB as options already but we want to make sure that we get it spot on.

Any help will be great. Cheers

The Annexe is as rowdy as it gets. You prob just happened to camp next to some folk who wanted to sleep at night and watch the racing in the daywink I would stick with it if I were you.

Quite the opposite actually, all the people around us were great and diodn't voice any problems with late loud music at all. We all checked before hand with those who were around as well just to make sure.

problem is that i don't think Annexe will be around at all next year, i hope i'm wrong but i'm quite sure that it is going. Anyone know for sure?

It will be interesting to see what happens next year. Now the Annexe has been split into two, I am sure that what is now called Houx Annexe North will be gone next year. I do wonder whether South will still be there.

I have been on HA for over 10 years and hope that at least a bit of it remains. Having said that the cramped conditions in "north" were a little trying this year. I think I might try Leam Langoustine's site next year. Costs a bit more but the security and facilities looked good.

i just want somewhere where we can have a laugh and people are not uptight if the music is a bit loud late on. also like that the pitches are not so strict on HA.

Depends what you term 'a bit loud'. One of our group moaned about not being able to sleep due to the full-blast techno being played in Houx Annex at 3AM on the Thursday night (I think)... and we were camping in Houx proper!

Needless to say it was news to the rest of us who had drunk enough to sleep through anything.
