Finchampstead/Crowthorne/Bracknell - trails?
Discussion
I'm living in Finchampstead for a couple of months, and looking for some nice tracks/trails to go biking on - anyone local got any good suggestions?
I've cycled across to Bracknell Forest (on the other side of Bracknell road to TRL and been around there and found a few tracks) - found a nice off-road route that avoids Nine Mile Ride but haven't really got much idea other than that.
I've got a roof rack if I need to transport the bike but I'd rather stay within a "cyclable" distance - I got lost and ended up at Broadmore at the weekend - someone tells me there are some designed tracks there but I couldn't find them? Are there any good local websites with tracks/trails on?

This might be too obvious, but how about Swinley Forest?
Hadn't ever heard of it - but looking on the net seems that I've been in to the left hand section of it without realising yesterday evening. That looks brilliant! I'm new to the area so have just been going on what people at work have said.
Thanks - any more?
If you're interested in exploring the area you could do far worse than join up with BoB MBC - www.bobmbc.com I've been a member for a couple of years now and there's always somebody coming up with new trails I've never seen before whether it's in Swinley itself or a bit further afield down to Deepcut or Yateley. Really opened my eyes to just how much there is to do around here.
If you got to Broadmoor then you probably cycled right past our regular meeting point so definitely local to you and the trails start right from the car park.

Swinley Forest is superb fun and there really is something for everyone there all though the good stuff does take some hunting!!
Head for the southern end to the MTB expert area i think they call it near the reservoir, biking heaven in a small compact area!!
