New engine for Moneypit?
Discussion
Was browsing ebay and this item includes a JE Engineering 3.9 crossbolted new engine, and the
bloke says he will split...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hensen-Kit-Car-c-w-V8-3-9-Cr...
might be worth a look Frazer, unless you sorted your slipped liner problems already?
cheers

Hello chaps
And thankyou both for thinking of me. V8 Animal, thanks also for your email last week. I did have a quick look on ebay, but couldnt find what I thought you were on about.
Alas, at the moment, finance wise, I'm pretty much on my arse. After having spent a fortune on the Chim this year, solicitors fees for my wifes visa, moving house, repairing the wifes car after her accident, head gasket failure on the Land Rover, and quite a downturn in my take home pay, (commision based), plus looking to invest in a couple of new ventures, I think that the Chim may have to wait untill next spring.
At the moment I am concentrating on getting the Disco in order, as that toy is going to be cheaper to fix. Its currently off at RT Racing having a load of welding work done.
Thats not to say that my enthusiasm(sp) for TVR has in any way declinded, its just that I would rather do the job properly.
After considering LS swaps for a while, weighing up the pro's and con's, I'm thinking the best way to proceed would be to swap the 4.0 for a brand new COSCAST, crossbolted 4.6 with decent heads and low compression pistons. Then when funds allow again, shove on a supercharger as my route to 350bhp+
Once again fellas, thanks for thinking of me, its really appriciated and a nice thing to come back to after another crappy day at work. Cheers

Hopefully things will improve for you.
As for the items offered to me does anyone think it's a good price i was thinking about buying the lot and splitting it up and selling the parts individually.
