The dreadful time has come again for another set of tyres..

I've always stuck with the oem Potenza Re50's.

Has anyone tried the Goodyear F1 Asymetrics ?, or another make ?

Try Toyo Proxes T1 R's. I've just fitted a set of these to my 05 GT.

They feel good in the wet and the dry. Cheap too from Camskill. £323.00 inc vat and delivery for all four. (£15.00/corner to fit at my local tyre fitter).

Of course I've yet to find out how quicky they wear as Toyo Tyres are generally quite soft!

I have Toyos on 16"s, and the rears still have life left after probably 8 or 9k miles. On 16" rims they're a bit squishy, but with smaller sidewalls they might be better...otherwise I'm very happy with them - progressive tyre, good in the wet.

F1 Asym has got some excellent reviews, and if I switch to 17"s they'll be the tyre I'd get, not RE050's.

Not a bad price either on mytyres.co.uk, only a few quid more than the RE050's.. What about the fronts F1 A's are only available in size 225/45/17.

Has anyone fitted 225's to the front over the std 215's ?

I had some of these fitted on an Audi A3 diesel a few years back. You could literally see them wearing away overnight. I think I had about 8k - 9k out of them. Interesting to see though, how much mileage they will cover on the S2000.

I run T1R's (on 17") and if I got near 9k mile I'd be laughing.

Think my last set of rears lasted about 4k ..
