Main car had to be recovered yesterday. Had to put it back on the drive, trouble is that it is in front of the garage with the Elise in side. Dooh. Would not be so bad if the car was not so heavy and the drive on a slope towards the house. Hope to get it moved and repaired soon. Hoping it is just the clutch failed. Changed gear and it did not re-engage.
Have borrowed a ten year old escort in the mean time. Insurance company has charged me £37 for two weeks cover. Sure I could insure an Enzo for less at my age.

Why not just rely on your third party cover? You don't need fully comp on an old shed like that surely?

Car belongs to wife's brother. He has not got a current policy on it.

Horrible having no car. The Omega had new discs and pads all round and an oil change on Saturday, but didn't get it back till Monday. The Elise is currently sorned pending me getting time to get it to Sincs for a C service, steering rack, new rear tyres, and an MOT (budgetting £1500, ouch!) I was just stuck in the house over the weekend unable to get to B&Q, pets at home etc. It was horrible! hehe
