Hi all,

I have a just bought an 03 Audi A3 2.0tdi sport and have a question for experts before i start to get frustrated.

The problem is, i came to refuel the car today (only had it two days) and i had a problem with the diesel pump, it just kept clicking off. The only way i could get the fuel in was by really feathering the handle and it filled very very slowly. I guessed that maybe it was just the pump so paid for what i put in and went on my way thinking i would refuel later in the day. Before anyone asks, yes i was out of fuel!

I have come to refuel tonight and the same problem, i only out £10 in earlier so needed to fill to the top. I had the same issue and had to feather the pump as it just kept clicking off. I managed to refuel all but took ages.

Does anyone have the same problem or know anything about why this happens??

Many thanks in advance

Possibly the anti-syphon filler neck, i have the a3 sportback and find that the nozzle will not go in all the way. Try just hanging the end of the nozzle into the filler neck. Just make sure the diesel does'nt go all over you or the floor!

hope this helps

Yeah, some fuelling stations don't like Audi filler necks.

Nozzle half in, if that fails try rotating it through 90 degrees.
