What are the weapons of choice in Ultima circles?

I've always been an Ohlins-tart from my biking days - one shock at £500 made sense back then. £2k+ for a set of four car one's though - hmmm!

What have you got, and do you rate them?

I think Nitron are the best quality/price compromise.

Penske, Eibach and Ohlins are also very good but much more expensive.

Nothing wrong with Intrax either judging by the Top Gear lap.

I think ultimaely it depends how good a driver you are - could you exploit the small % gain that decent Ohlins may give over Intrax on track and justify that % as £1k+ well spent?

I'm going for Nitrons. Had them before, beautifully made and good value too imo. Nitron will make them to your spec too.

Used protech on the Can-am ,they were very good and the service from them was spot on

I e-mailed Nitron about shocks for the Can Am im building got this reply back

We have worked on a couple of Ultimas before, and it seems they have
some quite difficult end mountings that have caused us some trouble in
the past. The best way is for us to see the car, would this be
possible?
