You'll get much more info over at www.lancerregister.combut IMO start off with an FQ rather than the 260, which is handicapped deliberately in several ways. (Restrictive exhaust, lower rev limit in first etc)
Depending how far you want to go be careful with the 260, my understanding is that the 260 ECU is different to the FQ models.
Ralliart do an ecu uprade for FQ models but it has 4 plugs, the 260 models ecu only has 3.
You can have your 260 rempapped to around 360 though I dont think it would run as smoothly as the ecu upgrade.
