Silverstone village is only a 15-20 minute walk from the circuit and it'll be packed over the weekend. Best (only) pub in the village is The white Horse down at the bottom of the high street, usually a great atmosphere there. The Royal Oak on the main road through will probably be open but only as a bottle bar/beer garden as it's closed during the rest of the year. If you want to venture a bit further afield, you'll definately need a car, but there are some good places tucked away in Whittlebury,Chackmore,Akeley and Buckingham.

i stayed in buckingham a few years ago for the GP, there is a restaurant hotel there and the restaurant has a michelin star, the food was really fantastic. it's the one you have to drive through the entrance, but i can't for the life of me remember what it's called!!

i'm staying in the travel lodge in flore. i wouldn't recommend it as a place to come for a drink frown

There are a couple of pubs in Flore, however you will be just 2 miles from the finest pub in England!

Going to Silvo tonight - won't the pub be constantly rammed. Can't imagine the waiting time to get a drink .

But I will be trying it hehe
