Ah I see Vauxhall have launched their new 'roof periscope' that spots traffic jams from up to '14 feet away'.

Easily worth the 4k asking price in my superior but humble opinion.

Oh are they mapping the UK roads aswell now? The feature on Google maps to zoom right into road level in America is simply amazing.

It won't be long till tools like that and this CLICKY will be used in conjunction to create one super map of the world.

Amazing.

Google street level imagery?

Select a UA poscode, zoom down low enough, you can now 'drive' along the streets and see images every 5 metres or so. There was a thread showing this, as the car was driving along it took photos of a boy riding along on his bike, until he hit a lampost or something.

Persoanlly not sure the applocation for all this.

I was just on a data management conference and there is a big push to link GIS in with everything. Google Earth seems to be the driving force behind a lot of it as it is so powerful. Imagine if you could link you photo's in with other people's to create a virtual photograph of the whole are giving you a 3d perspcetive. Its about the only thing i got excited about at the conference smile

"Real-vue" sat-nav?

By the way, I hereby copyright the term "real-vue" for applications including, but not limited to, satellite navigation and direction provision services
