Not LC, but I do own 3 TZR 250's. Two set up for racing in the YPM's and one that I'm doing up for the road.

I do know a guy that has about a dozen of them, in different stages of rebuild, a couple of them in almost mint condition.

I had a 250 import version of the same model, traded it in for a TZR, then an RGV250. biggrin

Mate had an LC similar to the above, damn thing tried to kill me everytime I rode it. Fantastic machines. I still reckon no two stroke can beat the induction/exhaust howl combination of a proper LC.

It was my first 'big' bike after doing my test on an rg125 in 96. Open the throttle and nothing, nothing... hoooowwwwll and weeee!

I joined this forum a couple of years ago and placed a wanted ad.

http://www.yamaha-rd.com/

The matching number ( 4l0 for 350's ) are the most sought after bikes with mint ones fetching £3k upwards but I've seen good useable bikes for around the £1200 mark.
Try and get one with as many original parts as possible as some bits are pretty hard to get.
I have had as much fun on this bike as I've had on any other bike I've owned.

yeah i've been watching ebay for a couple of weeks....£2500 seems to be the right sort of price for a fully restored one

although saying that i would consider a F/N2 YPVS if the right one comes along (i dont like the tail piece stlying on the F/N1's)

Saw these at last years Thundersprint:

biggrin

I remember my mates LC being the only bike that would wheelie of its own accord... I'm not saying this is a bad thing.
