Getting a spare key/alarm fob

Hi,

My Sagaris came with only one key / alarm fob and I was informed that the spare key was in the glove box. I only checked for the key on returning home from England as I was too busy grinning (and thus found that it was not there)

After countless attempts at getting the dealer to send me the spare key I`ve given up! They just don`t seem to have them or want to get me a new one

So how do I get a new key cut and the fob part programmed?

Seconded. Karl will be able to send you a spare key, not sure about how you'll get it programmed, he maybe able to do it before he sends it to you? You can get the ket cut at any Ford dealer.

If its the same as the Tamora, the key is a standard Ford part.
As for the alarm/immobiliser element, if you have the red alarm code card you should be able to take it to any decent car electrical specialist and have them programme you a new fob - it is a Meta alarm system FWIW.

I didn't have the sacred red card, so local branch of Ray Smith Car Hifi (Edinburgh) reprogrammed the alarm system and supplied 2 new fobs. And gave me a new red card.

If you don't have someone nearby, then the bloke recommended in the previous threads does come VERY highly recommended.
