I'm looking for some advice. I've just been posted over here for a minimum of two years. I'm looking for a bit of help on getting a car. I'm not sure yet on whether to rent or to buy. If after something which is a bit more fun, not the same euroboxes that they seem to have here. It looks like a scooby or something of that manor is going to be a little more up my street. It's not got be massively expensive as I'll have to get a loan to fund it.
What are they like on holding their value? I probably won't be putting massive mileage on it. I would also like to track it.
Any advice on where to go and look at things like that? All other advice will be welcome as well.

I can't comment on Doha, but here in the UAE, Scoobies are like rocking hotse ste, RARE!

The new versions are here, but have been imported from USA.

The older versions are very hard to find. They come up once in a while, but you have to be quick.

Stu,

Scoobies are almost impossible to get here in Doha due to import restrictions so i'm told. You can get the standard cars no problem but STI's were never imported by the dealer apparently, only by individuals. You can get Evo's but they've not got warranties. I thought about an evo when i arrived a few years back and it was about half the UK price.

Best value are the Jap or American stuff. The Lumina SS's are real good value. 5.7 V8 and nearly 400 bhp for relative peanuts.

cheers,

ss
