I wonder what do owners get in Return??
Im guessing a full new set of tyres and a full servic, full valet & of course any damage done during the test fully replaced. - One might suggest that if someone has a rough car which might go pop they should put it in then oh you broke the engine I'll have a new one in compensation.
I for one wouldnt like the thought of someone thrashing (sorry group testing) my pride & joy. Look at how Tiff Needle treats cars... no mechanical sympathy.

My M5 was used in the 10 K Heroes, issue 101 and all of the team at Evo drove the car with respect and care. They did not thrash the engine nor destroy the brakes and i would be happy to lend them any car again.
Have just done a piece for BMW Car and Total BMW...both magazines again were respectful of my property and drove with spirit but not recklessness.

What would happen if it broke down with a majour failure during their use & they had just driven it normally its not their fault and shouldnt be expected to repair it. If your car is not upto the job don't reply. If you cannot afford to run it properly get a cheaper car.....why be so depressing? Do you have any experience of magazine shoots, do you have any PR experience...can you actually drive your car at 7/10th on a public road without endangering yourself or others and remain within the speed limit?
My Skyline was used in the R32-v-R33-v-R34 feature a number of years back. I believe that we got lunch at Foxes Pub just off the B660! Echo the comments above. If you're car is well maintained, there's nothing to worry about. Chasing Andy Morgan in his camera car was the most challenging part of the day!

Why so aggressive straight away? If I had the car in question I would be happy to lend it to them. They wouldnt drive it any harder than what i drive anyhow.

Sounds like you dont know much about MOT's.... With petrol engines the tests are done at idle and also at rpms of around 2500rpm. It is diesel which is reved for around 5-10 seconds to the limiter.

If you get them your car and lets sey it had a red line at 6k rpm would you state no reving beyond 4k? Or would you just leave tohem to go all the way to the cut out?
