0800 Number with Call Counting Aspect?
Discussion
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone here makes use of the 0800 number? I realise the effectiveness has been reduced by the use of mobile phones and package deals for landlines with 01 and 02 numbers but I would like to be able to track calls depending on the type of advertising.
A few companies offer the ability to count the incoming calls, which would indeed be useful. Does anyone make use of this facility and can anyone recommend a company? Some of these telecomms outfits are a bit dodgy to deal with.
Regards
Amar

Kind regards

HAHA nah not C&W in terms of switched minutes since they moved out of the SME sector it has plumeted....
Agreed you guys are massive from a footprint perspective, dont come across you much in the SME sector anymore though? Mostly resellers and dealers still trying to play the minutes game.....i personally think that is a dying art??
If you beleive the most recent marketing bumph for SME & Corp sectors we have circa 38-40% B2B traffic over our network......
I work for Opal Telecom btw (part of CPW Group)

C&W are a spent force - I don't even come across them in the mid to enterprise space these days, unless it's one of their top 100.
About three years ago we made a decision to move away from the mucky minutes business. Occasionally I run into LCRs and I'm staggered at how cheap some of them are brokering minutes out at.

Agreed, on both parts, although the aquisition of Thus would fill the SME space within the C&W.
As for mucky minutes, its a joke, the LCR/CPS side of things is mind boggling, some of the smaller resellers are dropping their preverbial pants to the point where i cant see where they make any profit?!
