Ted, very well observed mate.

But I think you should brush up on your 'stereotyping' - you incorrectly spelled 'dwivilwunhundrard'.

drivelwunhundrard (driv'il'wun'undr'd) noun (orig: Mike Brewer). The assessment of a car based on fatuous categories and a scoring system based on flawed arithmetic and an obsession with jelly and cobblestones.

MONSTA!

Another ommision:
quote:
publictransport (bus) noun, [Old Saxon]. Dirty, slow means of travelling between fixed locations nowhere near your home.

Should be annotated as archaic, no longer in current use.

Might I suggest the addition of:

Fannymagnet (fan eee mag net) noun. [Origin - pub conversation], a vehicle capable of endowing the driver with a mystical and inexplicable increase in interest from females. Exact type depends on prey; cheap slappers, Nova bolt-on special; expensive slappers (a.k.a. fur coat & no knickers) BMW.

Ted's most excellent article. Ok, I've chuckled at a few before, but brilliant observation mate.

May I repsectfully suggest:-

hoon (hoon) verb, [Orig. antipodean]. To drive with vigour, with possible excursions into caning. Note that the following are outside the scope of hooning: large, lostit, lunched. Ballast may however be a contributing factor in hoonage. See also Cheshire cat.

He he he - brilliant.

May I suggest this one (ripped off from someone elses post)

Treacle (orig - crs: treacle tart) tasty adornment to the passenger seat of a sports car. May get sticky following fast driving or 'larging it'.

Cheers,
Ballast.
