Apparently the 2004 le mans classic is to be held in July. IF you went last year, what campsites were open at the circuit? I think its going to have to be or the other for me in 2004, cant decide which to do though.

Yep, I will definately be attending the Classic.

Last year it was fantastic. We didn't bother with camping as the hotels were available as the numbers were down. I think Maison Blanche was open, but not sure.

I hope to get to both events, but what with a new kiddie arriving in March, I can't be sure.......

nice one, ta. Never thought about hotels but for the classic race it doesnt seem like a bad idea.

Im up for LM classic in 2005 instead of the main event, just for a change. (Plus may do Monaco too).

Not sure if everybody is aware but the classic is only every 2 years so next one is 2006.

Camping this year is in Maison Blanche with a Grandstand ticket included with General enclosure ticket.

I'm spoiling myself and going to both 24hr and classic this year - very skint but can't wait!

Last year? Surely you mean 2002 (as it didn't happen last year)?!

Not quite from Poole but myself and my dad will be leaving from Brighton via Newhaven-Dieppe. I'll be in my Z3M-Roadster and my dad'll be in his Ultima.

When are you travelling, I live in Worthing and I am also going Newhaven Dieppe on the Friday morning returning Monday early evening. Our group consists of 2 x E Types, 2 x Caterhams, 1 x Elise, 1 x MGB V8 Roadster and hopefully an XK 120 Roadster. We are staying in a Formula 1 once there.

Right then, we're leaving from Newhaven at 14.00 on the Friday and returning from Deippe at 18.15 on the Monday. Not sure what time you're ferry is on Friday morning, but I doubt you'll want to be in Deippe for a few hours, waiting for two people you've never met to show up! Might be best to meet up once at the track.

No idea where we're staying, all I know is it's about a 45 minute drive from Le Mans (we could have got a place closer but we like the drive to and from the track!!)
