Right. Ready Loony's ramblings about his S1 (now S2) has got me thinking about the very same thing. A track focused car I can enjoy anywhere, hopefully with the space to track it (I am a trackday virgin frown ) Thing is I am 6'5" - leggy rather than body I would say and around 14 stone so not huge in the girth smile

I sat in a standard S1 ages ago and it was comical frankly which put me off but reading here I gather I can get a steering wheel boss to raise the wheel and get a sortshift kit to shorten the gearstick.

I probably want an S2 for the additional space and updated looks (personal I know but I prefer the S2 lights etc). Budget is probably low end of S2 territory which may be a sticking point as I am used to powerful cars and think I will need a 111 sort of power (around 160bhp?).

Mod wise induction/exhaust/wheels are must haves for me, and I will need a removable wheel and it sounds like I may need new seats (probax?)

I have seen the boss's on eliseparts for the wheels but does anyone have specific recommendations on a replacement wheel and seats for me?

I am based in Woodford if anyone happens to know of a friendly owner smile

In short all advice very welcome. I had set myself on a Monaro for some fun so I could take the kids with me and although I'll miss not having a V8 to play with something about a light chuckable car keeps tempting me....

Drove an S2 yesterday & head nowhere near the roof, need to drive em back to back, but was in exige s1 day before & s2 felt far better than S1 in this respect & easier to get in & out too, roomy elsewhere too & I'm 6'4 & leggy & couple of stone over you, heck vs a Caterham its like a maybach! biggrin

However quite a few bigger fellas than me drive s1s no probs.

Thanks - that is very reassuring. I think I need to try and find a standard and modified S2 to see how much difference the wheel boss etc makes.
