What's happening to platinum/precious metal prices?

Any one with any real insight care to predict when it's the right time to by my wedding rings?

Ceremony is 14 months away, budget for 2 rings is about 1500.....

Only gonna trend higher, really. Will fall in the next 5 years, though, I suspect.

Personally I think titanium rings are uber cool. Considering it's the 4th most common element it still seems fairly pricey, but a bargain compared to platinum. Not sure if your other half would share my tastes though

I would say that in times of looming economic instability people would want to secure their assets in something like gold/platinum. Increased demand raises prices and another self fulfilling prophecy is born...
