6 speed box

Is it possible to put a ford 6 speed box from a st170 in a noble with out any probs?

If not which gearbox do I need

The ratios are different in the st170 box the correct box is from the mondeo st220, the only difference from mondeo to noble is a quaife lsd and i believe a modified selector cap. And if your raplacing a 5sp theres a whole load more mods to do as i asked the questions a while back and was told the fuel tank needs modding n/s rear wishbone needs modding or new one from factory.Oh and new engine and gearbox mounts. sounds a bit more involved than I wanted! im guna put another 5 speed in I think. would that be the st24 5 speed or is there a 5 speed st220?

I know of a fully rebuilt, shot-peened Noble 5 speed with LSD...

If your going to put a 5spd in then get it shot peened before you do.

yeah I will make sure its cleaned up nice. theres a few st24 boxes on ebay, I will have a bid on one in the week. I will get is shot blasted if i cant clean it up with some acid and a jet wash.

By shot peened he means the INTERNALS not external.

Shot peened and shot blasted are two totally different things matey, shot peening is a strengthening method for the gears.Gaz
