Saw a Fergus Mosquito at Yeovilton Air Day today...

Anyone know what they're based on? Front suspension looks a bit Morris Minor-ish (the leaf spring appears merely to be there for show)...

Cheers,
Rich

Nice spot - I think it looks quite good.

I recognise those nasty pressed steel lower arms.
You are nearly right - they are from the Marina, so it would probably have the 'B' series engine as well.

Ah, of course, forgot about the Marina. Yup B-series would explain the three pipes on the exhaust manifold then. Interesting looking beastie, shame the owner wasn't about to talk to.

Hi,

That is a nice example. I have one of the other 9 factory built ones producrd by Fergus engineering in mostly around 1987. Based on Marina and correctly identified as B series engine, they are a superb replica of the Aston Martin Ulster/Le mans of 1934. I have lots more info if you want it, and would be intrigued to find out more about the one you saw. Mine is Dubonnet Red.
