Why do you ask that what have you heard? I have a Type R ordered for September.

OK then, thanks for that. Now if by chance your "could" turns to a 'maybe' or even 'possibly' I want you to let me know straight away and I will go straight to the dealer and tell him to stuff it.

It seems a bit early, seeing as it was only launched late on in 2005, I would have expected it next year at the earliest.

Depends if it's on a 3 or 4 year schedule - the Accord was 3 years, so the Civic could well be too.
Then again, if sales are a bit slack, if it was on a 4 year plan, they could bring it forward 6-9 months.

I remember when they launched it and Tom Ford was saying how a lot of manufacturers were scurrying back to the drawing board to revisit their designs now this futuristic missile had been launched. However, I wasn't keen on it then and I don't think it's exactly set the sales charts on fire. Still seems to be the weapon of choice for OAPs too! Much preferred the last one.

Anyway, I haven't heard anything....

Actually, that's a lie. Here is a link to the US indication that Honda WILL be redesigning the Civic for 2008. Now if you click some of the links, you'll see the American version of the current car which is much neater and more conservative.

Anyway, the new Civic doesn't need a face lift. The front end is OK. It needs an arse lift.

I like that, an "arselift".

Hurtful but true.
