I want to leave my baby in a nice warm secure garage/car park while I am on holiday. And I want to be the one who drives her there - none of this, "you leave it with us, we'll take it somewhere far away, driven by a 17 year old work-experience lad etc....."

Anyone know anywhere ? My countless phone calls have resulted in an offer of a space under what can (at best) be described as a car port from one Company and why does no-one seem to want to let me drive it there ? If I don't see where it will be parked, how can I be sure it will be tucked up safe and warm ?
There must be a Company somewhere who offers this ??

Cheers
Lucy

I've used BCP "meet and greet" service about 30-40 times(in all the main airports)and never had any problems. The collection team are mature, and seem careful and experienced drivers. None of my cars have ever suffered any damage and although I can't tell you exactly where it ends up being parked, at least the only people who have access are the NCP team (no numpties reversing into your baby!)

BTW I have no connection with the company.

Lucy,

BCP at Gatwick is definitely outdoors. You could try getting them to chauffeur you to Gatwick and you can leave the Chim at home (as long as your garage is safe or I could look after it to go alongside my own Chim ). I'm not sure about the chauffeur cost to Gatwick from where you are but I've used it for LHR from Deepcut for 10 days away and it was a saving compared to parking at BCP Heathrow.

If your going for more than around 10 days its cheaper to use a chauffeur. I use a good friend of mine. 100% reliable and will pick up anywhere/Drop you at the door and collect you on arrival. Usually in a Stretched Jag or Merc S500.

If you want to find out more go to:

www.personalcars.net

Ask for Nick and say Matthew said to call.

Lucy,

It would be far better for peace of mind to take a cab/limo/have a friend drive you to LGW. You will be fretting about her while you are away, and you can't call her to see how she is. It doesn't matter which toy you take. Mail me off-line with your schedule and maybe I can drop you off?? Provided it's on a wknd, very early or very late, and there's no traffic on the M25/23 Alternatively, and at a push, take the train. Wokingham has a connection straight to LGW.
BTW, that was me who flashed you the other week by the Crispin Pub/racecourse!! I was in the Golf

Thanks for the advice guys - main problem is 2 Tiv's, one garage..... I know, I know, it's my own fault !!

At the moment the unlucky one that has to be outside is covered but I don't want to leave a cover on for 2 weeks (advertises I'm away, can scratch if left on for long periods etc etc..) So - will keep searching for undercover parking....

River G - I did see you the other day but it was too late to wave back !! You still got Ruby I see.... Must do a ladies PH night soon then !!

I am a tour operator and we have contacts with companies that offer parking.

Will look into this for you tomorrow and see what I can find. Most are open but might be able to find you one under cover.

What days & times are your outward and return flights.

Best

I believe Magic Castle offer this service, they have plenty of undercover storage and are secure. About 10 mins from Gatwick and will probably do any required work while it's there.
