Hi all

Just a quick update from me really, mainly just to let you know that I am still alive... Quite a lot has happened since I last posted on here. First of all, I have meet a very nice lady. We have being seeing each other since just before last years wedge fest. She lives in Kent, so she is not local to me, but it's worth the journey to see her and things have been going very well between us. In fact they have been going so well that I proposed to her back in February and she said yes. We haven't set a date for the wedding yet, but it will probably be either next year or more than likely sometime in 2010. So if anyone lives near Kent/Essex, will be available once we have set/confirmed a date and would like to possibly supply a nice wedge as a wedding car, then please let me know... smile

Also my sister is pregnant and is due to give birth to her first child within the next week or so, so I will be an uncle very shortly. Still not used to the idea of being an uncle yet though... smilehehe

On a sadder note, my grandad died in March this year after a short illness. He was 88. Also I will not be able to make the BBWF this year. This is partly down to cost, as apart from the fact that petrol cost a lot, I would have to pay for 2 rooms, because my financee has 2 children. Another reason is that we would all have to travel up from south Kent, which would make it an even longer journey.

Anyway that's enough rambling from me for now. Hopefully I will get to see some of you again one day, whether that is at next years BBWF or at my wedding...

Mark

Glad to here the NUT is still in the wings.
Maybe we can arrange a Big Bad Wedding convoy?
Sorry you won't be at WF this year. Start saving the pennies now and you won't have an excuse for missing next year!

Thanks Leo. Yes I am still in the 'wings' and have been keeping an eye on the forum. Been meaning to post for ages, but haven't got round to it until now. A wedding convoy would be great if it could be arranged and some of you could make it once a date has been set/comfirmed.

Hi Mark - good to hear things are on the up for you matey.
Re: Marriage v fuel costs. Buy a SEAC, it's cheaper. hehe Only kidding, congratulations.

You need the 'white wedging' line up like at the 1st WF.
Unfortunately my wedge is now green. biggrin

Maybe you can still make the BBWF, scrape those pennies together.

Cheers Wayne. I would love to be able to buy and run a SEAC, or indeed any wedge right now, but unfortunately I just can't afford to right now. In fact I don't see me being able to do it for a good few years yet weeping

A white wedge wedding would be cool. However I would have to speak to my fiancee about it first. Also we haven't decided on a venue yet, so we don't the maximum number of guest that we can have. Having said that, I would really apreciate it if a couple of wedges could be there and possibly used as wedding cars, as my wife to be loves the idea of having TVR's there. Also my best man owns a Chimaera, so I will be having that as my wedding car anyway...

I hope that your back is better now and not giving you so much pain.

Jeff - Thanks for the best wishes mate. Would have loved to have been able to make the wedge fest again this year and got rotten in the white horse again with your and your other half hehe. Had a great time last year and a good laugh. Alas it's just not possible this year unfortunately. Hopefully though it will be different next year and I will be able to make the wedge fest and we can have a good catch up and drinking session then...

Rob - It was good to meet you and your missus last year as well and thanks for the compliments, they are really appreciated. Hopefully I will be able to make next years wedge fest and we can catch up then.

It was a slip of my fingers whilst I was typing Leo and I didn't spell check my post, so I didn't spot the mistake, honest...
