Retro Fitting Bluetooth to a New E92 320d

Dad has wisely gone out today and scored a cracking deal on a pre reg BMW 320d SE (with dynamic performance shiz) part exing his unloved 06 plate Jag X Type.

Well done to him, especially as most dealers would rather you just torched their servicing department, as oppsoed to PX'ing the unloved Jag.

The only thing missing from the car is a lack of Bluetooth phone kit.

From what I can gather, all the cabing is there, it just needs the module fitting. Does anyone have the part number and an idea of how it's fitted. Is this something the dealer should be emplyed to do, or alternatively, is their a good specialist out there to sort that out?

I know there are good kits from Nokia and Parrot around (my own car has a Nokia kit) but it would be good to have it fully intergrated in

You want to make sure you get the module that has the usb port for the ipod too, you can then retrofit this as well, if the car has usb the you may find that you have the bluetooth in the car and you just need to pay for it to be activated.
Have a look under the floor panel it should be on the right, you have to remove two plastic rivets to get to it but easy to see. If it is not there see if there is a load of wires bundled up.

The car does have USB, so if the module is already fitted, does anyone know how to get it activated??

whe I picked my e92 up bmw had neglected to fit bluetooth. the dealer retro fitted it (and paid) took a couple of days and the bits were well over £1k (so I was told) and the car already had usb....


Still it works a treat now
