Since picking up my moonraker black Tuscan 2 I have never really been happy with the paintwork (mainly due to broken promises made by the dealer - but that story is for another thread!). I have been thinking about a re-spray and although I want to keep the car black was thinking about something a bit different - did the factory ever offer spectraflair/cascade black?
I have found this company that does flip black (was thinking about either diamond or rainbow black) but don't want anything that makes the car look too "Max Power".

Would welcome peoples thoughts.

I saw a blue Tuscan with the 'glitter' effect, and it really didn't work for me. Looked a bit Disney. I think there are a couple of different metallic blacks available though. Might be worth trawling through the Exterior Colour Options sticky at the top of the T350 forum for ideas.

The glitter is Nebula blue isn't it?

I have seen holographic flash on a skyline and ducati and it looked amazing.

My son had a Tamora in Nebula Black. Sold it recently. In sunlight and under floodlights, the paintwork has tiny flecks of green and red in it. An amazing colour.

IIRC, there is a Tuscan around in Nebula Black.

If that is what you are looking for, email me with your address and will mail a few photos to you.

Cheers

Thanks - Nebula black could be the colour. Although I have been advised to also look at dark fantasy but can't seem to find any pictures (will probably get the sack though for the list that came up on a google search!!).

Brent - I have PM'd you my details.

Thanks
Alan.

I've only approached one company so far - Surface and Design (advertised in Sprint who I believe are ex Blackpool factory) they have quoted £2500 plus cost of paint. Will contact a few more people over the next few days to see how this compares.

They have a very good reputation, how much does paint cost? I guess quite a lot for "fancy" colours, I'm just thinking a straight metalic would be fine for me.

I've been tol £3000 by a local place for a respray in my current colour crystal topaz, which is essentally just a light metalic blue.

Sounds very interesting. I would be interested to see picutures and know how much this upgrade costs.

I can recommend their work and they've recently changed their paint supplier which will make the paint cost keener than it used to be.

If anyones after a good paintshop in Hampshire, Portsmouth
ERB Motors have quoted £1900 +VAT for a full respray including paint in same colour( mine is dark blue). At the moment they have about 3 -4 week wait. I have been told that it will take a week start to finish to respray the whole car.

ERB Motors
Claybank Road, Portsmouth, PO3 5NH

You know what they say about something that seems to good to be try - It usually is !

The paint for mine alone is £2k (Reflex Charcoal), I assume you have checked about the "including" paint thing ?

Im doing a Tuscan for Mike Latham at the moment and we have found an alternative to these ridiculous prices for the flip paint. Ill let you see once finished. The colour im doing is basically a copy of reflex green There are alternatives out their! and this has cost £150 a litre!

As for what colour etc... the Tuscan radical curves do suit a flip, more so than any other TVR. Just my opinion though!

I was told that £500 -600 of the price would be spent on paint! My colour is a standard blue nothing fancy like Charcol.

Mines not getting done until after my birthday!! the BIG 30 ..frown But aleast its in Las Vegassmile

The Guys a ERB did mention that they had just finished a full respray a TVR T350. Maybe that Guy is on pistonhead?? .

I thing the price is about right!
£1400 +VAT
£280 per day for Labour ! Nearly worth me giving up the day job to become a painter.. ;0)

Some else said that they had been quoted £2500 just for Labour....

In the real world no car painter is worth £500 per day!

5x£500 = £2500

Just because you drive a Tuscan should mean that you should be ripped off!
