VBOA Billing show 12th/13th July
Discussion
I was talking my mk2 cavalier on the www.mk2cav.com stand, but I sold it and forgot to get another (still looking for the right one), and I'm going to alton towers instead for my son's birthday treat (me plus 4 15 year old lads - I'm scared TBH)

Anybody on here going to the VBOA rally at Billing near Northampton next weekend? I'm going on the Sunday in my silver '04 CV8
Paul.
Paul.
Yes Paul, me in my silver '04 CV8. I'm taking a different route to the one we took last year, avoiding the A14.
Richard.
Hi Richard - guess I'll come up the M11 and meet you at your place as last year - might have another Monaro in tow (Andy - hsv rulz) which way are you going this year?
Not sure where I'll be parking - it would be good to have a Monaro display area at Billing next time?

I've yet to come across anyone wanting a bunch of Monaros - usually the car is seen as an oddity.
Still, maybe we can stick the cars together on an empty bit of bog... I mean, grass? (yeah weather looks awful again)
Monaros and VXR8 are all more than welcome within the Autobahnstormers - we already have a number within the club and should be in the club area over the weekend.Still, maybe we can stick the cars together on an empty bit of bog... I mean, grass? (yeah weather looks awful again)

Just a thought - anyone intending to go to Billing should bear in mind that they may not be allowed into the rally site without the correct screen sticker, which is issued by the VBOA through the affiliated owners clubs. You will get into the Aquadrome OK, but may have to park on an area outside the area reserved for the rally.

You do indeed have to be a member to see the forum but there is an awful lot of value there - especially for LC owners. I am around on Saturday and I'll try and pop over to the Calibra bit.
We don't have that many Monaro and VXR8 members at the moment but hpefully that will change as people move to newer cars. PhilG on here is one of our members as well.
Yes, come see me (or, if possible, I will hunt you down!) and convince me. I've certainly talked to the bahners before but never really seen the value - but these days I'm finding it hard to justify being on the Calibra stand as I've not owned one for years and the old-timers are getting few and far between (everyone moves on, I understand).
Mine is a black, 54 plate VXR
(it'll be the only one there and we're just over the entry bridge)

I was going to go across country via Bedford, though I'm more concerned about avoiding the A14 coming home than going. Looks like there could be a convoy brewing, so I could be going A14 after all! I'll give you a ring.
A428 is good for me too. I only suggested the A14 as it avoids going through Bedford town centre (unless you were thinking going up the M1 of course!). I am not a member of any kind of club so I guess I will have to park in the no friends area

. You might get into the rally site OK - it depends on who, if anyone, is marshalling the entrance at the time - but it's best to be prepared not to. I thought it best to warn people of the 'rules'!
