Hi,
Car flew through the mot today, got home and the boot lock will not engage.
The boot closes okay but the lock catch will not engage to keep it closed.
Removed carpet etc, everything appears to be operating correctly and spring is in place.
If i place a s/dvr in the mech it operates easily but will not close onto it.
A couple of thoughts, maybe the solenoid should be operated in case the lock is out of sync,no noise from the solenoid,
Removed and tested the switch, nothing checked fuses all okay.
Confirmed with meter no feed to the switch, but maybe there shoulden't be because the boot mech is open.
Anyone come across this one.
Cheers

is the solenoid allowing the catch to return all the way?

maybe worth trying disconnecting the bar to see if it locks while not connected to it

making sure of course, you know the way in with no power

Thanks t pot
The solenoid in fact was not allowing the cable to return by a couple of mm.
You were spot on.
Thanks

Any idea where the feed is taken from for the solenoid switch?
