Belguim Grang Prix jolly....

Hey folks....
Me and a few mates from work were wondering of the fun and games to be had by going on a bit of a drive to Belgium to watch the F1....
I know it`s not the most exiting road trip, but we did go to Monte Carlo to see the F1, so it has to be a cheapy kind of trip....
The convoy will cosists of,
6 idiots,
two old BMW`s (318is e30, and a 320i e30),
tents,
lots of food and ale....
Travelling from North Wales, heading to the ferry in Hull.
Anyone done this trip before, and what sights are there to see?
Any recomendations much appriciated!

I totally agree with Longers.
The motorway to Spa is pretty lame...not that good quality either so it'll rattle your teeth. I'm not sure if there is a more interesting non motorway route.
However, I definetely second the jaunt on the other side of spa through the valleys to nurburg. Absolutely great roads...went a couple of months ago on that route in convoy....no othe rtraffic in sight...just empty, windy, brilliant tarmac...

Stay at Spa Sunday night to party & miss traffic chaos
Monday scenic blat to Ring
Monday eve laps of Ring (assuming it's open that evening)
Stay at this legendary place for amazing steaks and a comfy bed/shower etc http://www.am-tiergarten.de/en/restaurant/
Tuesday reluctantly come home
More info here... http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ and here http://www.northloop.co.uk/

Are there many PH'ers going to Spa? OH has just bought me tickets for the weekend and I now need to work out where to stay. Camping preferably.
Sorry for the thread hijack.
Me and the missus are going...From the research I did, google "Camping de L' eau Rouge". It seems to fit the bill for us.Sorry for the thread hijack.

Well worth extending your trip by a day to take in a couple of laps there
