Yikes

Just tried to fit my new multivex mirrirs to my exige s - pressed too hard and broke the drivers mirror AND the new overlay !! mad

Bad news is I leave early Friday morning for the Le Mans Classic !!!

I have the other mutlivex but it's just a little too small for the hole (sounds familiar...;)).....what can I do ?

Is it easy to get a replacement glass? if so where from before thusday so I have time to fit. I'm in Hertford if anyone knows a place near me.....help !!

ps. is the glass from a metro - if so what vintage..??

I tried to buy from Hangar 111 but they had delivery issues so I ended up getting them from Eliseparts.com. Very rapid service - i.e. next day. Worth every penny.

All sorted with a metro replacement. I bought the whole unit for 20 GBP and took the mirror retaining part off and fitted it straight on with the new mirror - easier than taking out the new mirror and fitting to the old retaining piece.......replacement mirrors all seemed to be "stick on" and as such were too small for the job.

FYI - be careful fitting the multivex mirrors - don't press too hard !!!

You must have been pressing really really really hard to shatter them, I was giving mine some grief and they were fine.

Nope - I have arthritis in my hands so can't press hard - I don't even shake hands with anyone nowadays........

Mmmm, only thing I can think, is that they must have been a bit dodgy from the start, as they're fairly substantial.
