Ok guys my alarm fob is a single button one with Meta M3..... something on it. Anyway when i got the car both of mine worked fine, but one would only work very close to the car and only after a couple of presses so i took the battery out looked at the type and bought new ones, prob now is that the original one with the battery out for 4 days wont work, while the one that originally worked fine anyway with the new batterys in is still fine. So im thinking that leaving the battery out for four days it needs re synching etc, looked on here and some say disconnect battery and reconnect, others say turn it on and off 8 times.................. any thoughts ??

The fob will need resynchronising and you'll need the working key to do. It's the 'switch on and off eight times' advice you need. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will not cure it.

I would give Carl a call on 0772 0723407 who is a specialist in these alarms (Car & Bike Installations Ltd - Advertises in Sprint too). He's a very knowledgable and helpful guy, knows the meta system inside out. Sure he will be able to help.
Good luck :-)

Give Carl "The META man" a bell, he'll probably tell you the fix over the phone.

Going to try this tomorrow night then if nothing doing i will give the guy a ring

Arm and disarm the alarm sixteen times or until the alarm stops responding, alarm now in program mode.....
Once in program mode press the button of the new remotes(s), press the button of the original remote(s). This must be done within 8 seconds of each action. If 8 seconds pass without any actions the alarm will automatically exit programming mode and you will have to start from step 1.
Wait 8 seconds to exit learning mode.
Test remotes.

Spoke to Carl, general opinion is that the Meta as fitted to mine has no reset and if u put a new battery in it should work, hmmmm it doesnt though. So all he can do is if i take it to him he will re prog the system with 2 new remotes for about £120.......... however as long i have 1 that works and the touch probe that works i'll leave it till i have a prob and then sort it, ordered some shiny alloy bits today, indicator stalks and handbrake lever........ cool, could do with some new mats.... any ideas ??? seen some on flea bay for about £20
