Not that I'm a cheapskate! but there seems to be a big difference in servicing costs for the cerb, I'm not due one for 3000 miles but thought it would be interesting to see the difference, I'm on about garages that know what they are doing with a TVR, not Arnold Clark etc, and i know sometimes you get what you pay for and people will have different loyalties to there preferred garage etc but sometimes you pay over the odds because of the name.

Crikey, when i was in the RAF (Rigger), the sportiest thing i could afford was a Ford Capri!! biggrin

I'm in Aberdeen, so to get to a TVR service centre is compounded by another 2 hours compared to you! As you no doubt know, Dreadnought is a tad expensive, so last year i drove down to Offords and visited friends while i had it underwent a 12k service, luckily no problems. Anyway, good value and they provide a coutesy car.

I may bite the bullet this year and go to Dreadnought for the 6k service, although i think they charge arounnd £800 for the that!

Yea, she does stretch me on the whole money side of things, but totally worth it! And i do all my own work, just need that bloody stamp in the book every 6000 miles!

Yea i have heard that Dreadnought is over priced, and i have family all over the country so thought it would be interesting to see who is cheapest.....

Come on peeps, prices and location!

Automedon thumbup

will be honest, work hard on your car and know cerberas inside out... (they both used to build themwink )

Never, ever heard a bad thing about them, and when i went up i got a 10% discount as a new customer.

During my service they fitted a sports exhaust and two new tyres at no extra cost, got it through the MOT too.

I paid less than i was expecting.

I'm getting my Cerbera's 12k mile service done in August at TrackvRoad will tell you how I get on but have heard good things. Traveling from central Scotland staying over night on Thursday then traveling further south to watch a hillclimb then head back up on Sunday. inc service, fuel and accomodation should still cost less than £1200! biggrin

TopCats Racing (near Aylesbury) for me. Seem to know their way around the cars and are competitively priced. Good service too (and believe me I have had some bad service with my last cerb frown )

There's a guy out in East Lothian meant to know his stuff, sadly I can't remember the details now though.
There's either a thread in here or the Scotland one about good tvr garages in Scotland though.

The guy in East Lothian i think your meaning is Noel Flannery. I'm not sure if he still services cars anymore. I use Dreadnoughts. I personnally believe you get what you pay for. They know these cars inside and out and even the 6K service on these cars are far more involved than the look on paper.

Go to Central Sports cars in Stourbridge - they looked after both my Cerbs pretty well and aren't expensive. Hell of a flog from Dundee though.

( I used to live in Airlie Place - what's the fastest you've got the Cerb up to over the Tay Bridge?.....)
