Excuse my ignorance but what's a KMC ecu? Or rather who makes it and where from?

not sure what a KMC is hehe but the KMS I believe is of dutch manufacture, perhaps Joo will be along shortly to explain.

Yes it's a dutch ecu .. it's an entry level ecu so ideal for the RV8 .. you can run turbo stuff through it and anti lag etc but ive never tried it for that. It's ideal for getting rid of the lucas .. for more technical people who like to fiddle or like to have more control I use Emeralds but as a fit and forget ecu that the end user doesn't want to play with the KMS is very good, and good value.

Next time you speak to DTA ask Alan (?) what he thinks to them .. I rather get the feeling that there's a bit of histry as KMS used to be the dutch DTA importer/distributer i think, then the KMS ecu came along with some DTA-like featuers .. allegedly.

Yes, go to Joo at Trackcar - he fitted and mapped a KMS onto my 450 (305bhp & 330ftlbs) and it's a dream, especially at low speed to make it drivable in traffic. The rolling road is fine, but the low speed stuff has to be tweaked by actually driving it, so that's what Joo does.

Thanks Joo, sounds interesting. I used to wonder if the DTA circuit boards were a bit similar to an Australian project.

Well as far as i am concerned it's a nice bit of kit that has tamed my Extremely Wild cam into something far more manageable.

That is mostly due to Joo's expertise mapping it but just remember that my cam is Ridiculously Wild, Ask Rob of V8D yes

My best results are 350 HP and 350 Lb/Ft !!

And that's a Griff 500 yes

To smooth a cam that wild must show the credibility of the ECU and Joo's Expertise smile
