Gearlever Gaitor Replacement

Can anyone tell me how difficult this is to do? How much of the dash needs to be removed? How long does it take?

The best part of five minutes (on my car anyway).

The Leather gaitor simply pulls out with the knob off the lever (again on mine[may have been replaced at some point]).

To remove the inner rubber gaitor remove the 2 screws in the back of the centre console and tilt it up, there are 4 screws holding the gaitor down. Get some grease in there whilst its off!.

My S2 is exactly the same as above.

It's amazing how smooth the gearchange is without it, but its a lot noisier too.
