go for it mate, i've not had too much grief from plod in the last four or more years. first pull for incorrect spacing is a producer and a warning, three strikes and you could get into some trouble. they can revoke your number and deliver a hefty fine, but i believe vthis is rare. good luck

Personally I think it looks a bit daft. If it actually was a T and not a 7 then fair enough, but it just doesn't look right and you'll probably get nicked as well. You'd be better of spending the money you've wasted on the plate on petrol to travel to a decent Indie for your service (as per your other thread).

Owch Jules, appreciate the honesty but you didn't save any punches there! frown

The plate was quite cheap, and I hear what you are saying about the 7 and T thing but it was a compromise.

Personally, I think there are plenty of reasons for plod to pull me over, I would not want to add another.

Have thought about plates myself, but the realisation always dawns that money is better spent elsewhere. Put it in a pot for the next trip to TVR A&E.

Plus, unlike most cars, the Cerb looks timeless. Regardless of plate, all eyes are on the car. People don't tend to notice the plate / age. You could have a bog standard 'S' reg plate for example, and your average Joe wonders what's the significance of the 'S'

Sorry if i'm being a bit dense, but is that an L and a J at either end? I'm assuming it is as 7VR would be worth heaps!!

If it is L7 VRJ, then surely you're gonna get nicked, it's one of the most obscure ones i've seen in a long while. Some MoT testers would refuse to let through too. I may have used some dodgy spacing on mine, but it's easy to read, hence possibly why i've never had my collar felt biggrin

It looks a tad contrived tbbh. You run the risk of being laughed at, beaten up, or arrested, in no particular order.

IMO. Sorry frown

I think you would have to be an idiot to want to beat someone up because of a number plate they have fitted to the car.

Thought I better remove it before I got beaten up.

Don't think i quite deserved the abuse confused... but maybe, Ill put it back up again for everyones amusement, but would be grateful if the insults would stop. Ill let you all know when/if I get pulled over/beaten up/laughed at.

On a discussion forum you are going to get positive and negative comments, I can't see where you were insulted though?

Your car looks fantastic and IMHO the plate really cheapens it, a plate like that deserves to be on a chav'd up saxo.

I can cope with a plate like C8 ERA being squished to C8ERA but when non-standard fonts are used and black/yellow screw heads to alter things I think that looks pap and does in some cases make me giggle at how silly it looks.

there are loads of ## TVR or ### TVR plates to be had cheaply, I event think a ### AJP is even cooler for the subtlety factor

I will await the inevitable "I got pulled thread"wink

As long as you like it, it doesn't matter smile

I've seen worse, people even changing 6's into G's vice versa. It doesn't look bad, doubt you'll get pulled, plod seen us drifting out of tesco carpark in the cerb, with 'wrong plates' they didn't care, they don't want the hastle!
